DETAILS FOR PARADE DAY
- Your entry (except for the high school bands)
should meet at the Centennial Beach Parking Lot. That is where you will
step-off. (Click the "Parade Route" tab on the left to see the full
route) - Access to the Centennial Beach Parking Lot
will be cut-off after 9:30 AM-your group should arrive prior to that time
especially if you need to stage a float or vehicle - The parade will start at 10:30 AM
- NO THROWING OF CANDY AT ANY TIME
- NO DISTRIBUTION OF ANY ITEMS AT OR ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE, INCLUDING THE STAGING AREA
- Your entry must have a large, obvious sign
with your unit number displayed. This is for the announcers. - At the end of the parade, please move out of
the way as quickly as possible. This is for the safety of your people and the
marchers right behind you. - Remember, we are all marching to pay
tribute to our nation's heroes. If any part of the parade process becomes
challenging, remember this: We are not suffering or sacrificing nearly as much
as the people for whom we are marching!
Rain Policy
The decision to cancel the parade is made by the Naperville Police Department just prior to the parade. We will march in light rain. The intent is to march unless rain is very bad or the weather is dangerous. No email announcement will be sent as the decision will be most likely be made at the last minute. If the decision comes early, we will post it on this site.
